NARO’s UF (Ultrafiltration) system is a reliable solution for particles separation through a semipermeable membrane. It mainly removes particles, suspended solids, pathogens larger than 0.01 micron and reduces turbidity.
The membrane has got pore size around 0.01 micron. Larger particles are being captured on membrane (as retentate), while water and low molecular weight solutes pass through the membrane in the permeate (filtrate).
Treating water with high suspended solids, UF is often integrated into process solutions, utilizing primary (screening, flotation, filtration) and some secondary treatments.
It is widely used in combination with other various treatment processes, such as pretreatment for RO, post treatment of TSE water, polishing for high pressure well injection, etc.
